Should I cut off the shoot?

Hi all, my #peperomia has developed quite the long shoot that has flowers on it. I've tied it up, but wondering should I cut it off and plant it?

(Plant doesn't live in the sun, I just moved it there for the photo)
8ft to light, indirect
6โ€ pot without drainage
Last watered 6 months ago
Hello, Greg! If you cut the shoot, you will divert the energy back to the base of the plant so it can put out more leaves and continue to look bushy.

Flowers take a lot out of plants. It is ultimately up to you. (:
Iโ€™m not sure about planting the shoot. But you may be able to propagate part of the stem with a leaf. Usually you wouldnโ€™t propagate a stem with flowers on it. If the shoot bothers you, you can cut it off. I sometimes feel like I shouldnโ€™t cut and let things flower. But I decided that if when I look at the plant if all Iโ€™m thinking about is that the shoot is bothering me or making the plant look uneven instead of enjoying the flowers then I should just cut it so I can enjoy the plant when I look at it.
Thank you everyone. I took the plunge and cut it off, now using the stem to propagate.
