Why does my Ellie (Euphorbia) plant ooze white substance?

It’s latex- almost like the euphorbia’s blood! 🧛♀️ It oozes when the plant is cut or damaged. Hoyas do this too. Just make sure it doesn’t touch your skin- it can cause major irritation.
