Just got this Virginia blue fern and within the week it s...
#VirginiaBlueFern I placed it near an east saving window and have been keeping it moist. The tips of new growth browned and died off and I got a few crispy leaf tips. So i thought maybe it wasnβt humid enough. But the humidity in my house tends to be about 50-60%. Itβs not that dry. So Iβm not sure it was the humidity. I moved it to the bathroom that definitely gets humid. I think the crisping has stopped. But now the color of the leaves is no longer blue. Itβs a very vibrant green. It seems there is a coating in the leaves that makes it have that bluish color and it seems to be gone. It looks healthy color for most plants but I want to get the blue color back. Could it be heat causing the blue color to go away? Has anyone had this experience? #HappyPlants #FernFriends

@BlazingFreesia Itβs about 1 foot from a west facing window. But it is pretty sheltered light for most of the day. I donβt think it gets direct sun
