Holes in Succulent

My succulent had holes in the leaves when I got it. Is this just leaf damage or is something wrong?

It looks like their in a very wet habitat

They are desert plants and love sandy sharply dried soil

It's in a pot inside a bonsai pot. That picture was taken right after I misted the bonsai, so it's not usually wet.

The soil in its pot is sandy. The soil around its pot is a mix. I'm watering once a week.
