How often do you guys wait to water succulents?

Question

I can not keep succulents alive. I went like 3 months without watering it. I decided to finally water it cause the leaves were crinkly like they were dehydrated. Now the plant is dying. It's the second burro's tail I gave killed. Any suggestions? How often do you guys water plants like these?

I’ve been doing a half cup of water every 2 weeks for my burro’s tail & other trailing succulents and they are thriving:)  I have them in 5 inch pots

I agree with how @Ziggy77 does it. I think it also depends on the size of the burros tail and how much light it gets

@Ziggy77 those look amazing!  May I ask what the little stones do for the plant or are they just decorative?
