Hi Brenda! Iβm copying and pasting what google says because it seems thereβs a couple of varieties of silver dollar plants, and itβs easier to c&p! Hereβs what it says ::: Silver dollar plants, which can refer to either Lunaria or certain succulent varieties like Silver Dollar Jade (Crassula arborescens) or Silver Dollar Vine (Xerosicyos danguyi), generally require bright, indirect light and well-draining soil. Water sparingly, allowing the soil to dry out between waterings, and avoid overwatering to prevent root rot. Your plant info says itβs in a pot without drainage and direct sun. I would definitely repot so it has drainage, and possible take it out of direct sunlight to see if that helps.
Limp, dropping leaves are so confusing because they could mean both over OR under watering (or a bunch of other things π) but if youβre seeing bigger black spots on your plant along with limp dropping leaves, that is rot :( Itβs cause by overwatering. Every 10 days sounds like a good watering schedule but every plant is different and all soil is different. I like to use Greg to remind me to check how dry the soil is, rather than watering. So when I get the notification to water, I stick a chopstick down to the bottom of the pot everyday until it comes out bone dry. But thereβs hope for Navajo!!! I suggest taking him out and washing the dirt off his roots, then you can check for rotten roots (black, mushy, maybe even stinky) and simply chop them off (even if itβs all the roots, donβt worry they will grow back). Then just chop off anything above the black rot spots (including the rot), let the roots FULLY dry out, and go ahead and repot him :) Donβt water him for a while so the roots go searching for water and grow more once repotted. The pot heβs in right now looks like a great size!! I hope heβs okay!
