What is the best fertilizer for houseplants?

#GregPlantShop
If you’re willing to invest, I’d HIGHLY recommend Growth Technology’s Foliage Focus fertilizer. It has done wonders for all of my houseplants! I would shop around a bit and see what your local nurseries have to offer, but do NOT use any of MiracleGro’s fertilizers, as they have a tendency to burn plants.
I’ve had good luck with Schulz Plant Food, but I’ve also heard good things about Superthrive Foliage Pro. So I’m going to try that next 🪴
I prefer good old fashioned worm castings or worm castings tea
I prefer organics like fish emulsion, bone meal, seaweed extract, worm castings etc. Some people don't like decomposing matter in their house and that is fine, preferences and all. For hydro and semi hydro I usually use a basic cheap A B fertilizer and adjust the pH as needed.
I use banana peels
Needs often depend on the plant.
For orchids, only use something labeled as orchid fertilizer (preferably MSU orchid fertilizer)
Some other tropical plants have similarly specific needs if you want them to flower (like plumeria), so there will often be fertilizers marketed for that kind of plant in general.

For my other plants (citrus, jasmine, various monstera, etc), I’ve been sprinkling a little Osmocote and they seem to be happy.
