I repotted my Purple Velvet Plant and it looks so sad! 😞 ...

2ft to light, indirect
Last watered 2 months ago
@porschesplants Aww, poor sweetie 😒 This is how you learn though! 🀍Purple velvet plants have a really delicate and fragile root structure. They don’t need to be repotted frequently, especially since the roots are pretty shallow. Repotting can be really stressful for plants, little tiny root hairs can get broken off easily, and those act like the straws, if you will, for water uptake, and that can make it difficult to take up any water or nutrients. so it’s probably gone into shock. πŸ˜” It looks pretty sad, but you might be able to try and baby it back. Keep the soil lightly and consistently moist (that is, dont let it dry out and dont drench with water), make sure it’s in a stable, warm, and bright environment with no cold drafts or sudden temperature changes. Good luck, I hope they pull through 🫢🏼🌿
@DreamMachine thank you for your response! I am keeping the soil moist and looks like stems are standing better so far 😊
@porschesplants ooh yes! Thats a definite improvement! πŸ‘πŸΌ
