Parlor Palm Propagation
My friends large Parlor Palm has been declining and she gave me a root to see if it can thrive. Iβve never had this plant, and the cutting wasnβt that great. So not sure if water propagation will help or if itβs even the best route. Anybody have experience with this plant, and have any tips for me? #HappyPlants #waterpropagation #PropagationStation #ParlourPalm #RescuePlants

@KindOfABigDill If the Parlor Palm cutting lacks healthy roots, water propagation may not be the best option. Consider propagating it through division or try planting it directly in well-draining soil. Ensure proper care, including adequate light and moisture, to support its growth. Wash the roots before putting them in soil to remove what is stuck to them.
When propagating a Parlor Palm from a cutting with minimal roots:
Choose the Right Soil:Use well-draining potting mix to prevent waterlogged roots.
Provide Indirect Light: Place the plant in a location with bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sunlight.
Maintain Humidity: Parlor Palms prefer higher humidity. You can use a pebble tray filled with water or a humidifier.
Watering: Keep the soil consistently moist but not soggy. Overwatering can lead to root rot.
Patience: It may take some time for the cutting to establish roots. Be patient and monitor its progress.
