How often do I water a flamboyant tree bonsia
I’m new to bonsai trees and was wondering how often I should water my flame tree bonsai. I’ve seen some people say when the soil dries and others say once a week. Any feedback is greatly appreciated!

A lot depends on the soil. I don’t have a flamboyant tree, but for all of mine I check daily and water when dry. Bonsai soil has very little organic material, so it doesn’t hold moisture. If your tree is in potting soil, or something with a lot of organic components, then once a week may be sufficient.
This tree grows in my city which is pretty a tropical area but a bit dry, doesn’t rain every week. I still water mine weekly. I also read to fertilize if in a pot so that it flowers. I just started fertilizing mine, we’ll see.
