Rescued this cutie from work and am desperately trying to...

#GoldenPothos
The only way to save it is propagating it. I would try and cut from the end if there are some decent nodes. Put it in distilled water in a bright area. I hope you can bring it back! Good luck πŸ‘
@WispyWillows @Succulent_Soul I’m usually optimistic about saving lots of different kinds of plants from the brink. πŸ’€ But I want to give you a realistic idea of what you’re dealing with here. This plant is in ROUGH shape. 🫣 It will be a miracle ✨ if they pull through and are healthy afterwards. πŸ˜”

Here’s what I would recommend, if you want to try anyways:

-Take those rocks off the top of the soil. Put them back outside or wherever they go. Rocks on top of houseplant soil will only compact the soil and make it harder for plants to get water and nutrients.
-Clip the vines at the red lines I’ve marked and put these segments with leaves aside to try to root . Toss the soil, and the bare vines that are still in the soil. I would not even think about using them. I’m sure there is root rot in there, and you will not want to reuse it. Scrub out the pot with hot soapy water. Put it aside for future use.

Do you have perlite? If so:
-put a couple handfuls of perlite in a ziplock baggie, fill it with hot water and swish the perlite around to wash the dust off. Open the bag a little and drain ALL the water out. A few drips is fine but the idea is to only have slightly damp perlite in the bag. Put your vine cuttings with the leaves into the ziplock baggie with the perlite. Close it almost all the way, leaving a small opening for a tiny bit of airflow and put the baggie somewhere that has stable, warm temperature, out of drafts and direct sunshine. Check on your props regularly for root growth, and toss any pieces if you see rot or mold.

If this plant pulls through, and you see good root growth and finally new leaves growing, then it will be time to start transitioning them to pot up again.

I’m recommending this method over water propping because they will need the extra humidity to recover. Please feel free to tag me @DreamMachine at any point along the way if you need help!
@DreamMachine will definitely give it a try, thanks so much for the information!
@Succulent_Soul thank you!! πŸͺ·
Fertilizer?
I 100% agree with @DreamMachine !
@theplantedone43 no fertilizer at all right now. When plants are stressed they are not able to use the extra nutrients, and they will get burned.
@WispyWillows I went straight into fix-it mode before, but I also have to say; you’re a good person for wanting to save them. β™₯️ It’s awful finding plants suffering. 😭 I didn’t want to give you false hope, but I really really really hope they make it 🀞 🀞
Oohhhh
Can we get an update on the plant?
