My nerves are fried ð
Hi all,
I need help and/or assurance about my nerve plant. I've had Ding Dong for a little while now; I got used to the dramatics and found a watering schedule that worked for him. But, I noticed that one piece of him in particular wasn't perking up after watering. I found that some of the roots were compacted from his original nursing pot and smelled rotted. I got rid of the dead roots and did my best to break the remaining live ones up some and repot him. Either I damaged some of the remaining root system, or he's simply adjusting to lesser roots, because some of the bigger leaves remained shriveled even after watering (ex: pic 2). I removed two of the biggest leaves hoping it would relieve some of the work for the roots. The places I removed them looked scabbed over, which by itself wouldnt worry me but the fuzzies on the stem are gradually balding and I have some crinkling/dry leaves (not simply wrinkled like other leaves before) on the same piece I made cuts.
So, I guess my question is, am I worrying about nothing because Ding Dong is just a dramatic plant and needs time, or is something else happening?
P.S. He is generally wilted currently because its time to get watered again.
