Are these “ears” salvageable?
The two ears (1st pic) are growing from a part that looks like it rotted off (2nd pic).

You can definitely propagate those ears. Remove them from the rotted base and let them callous over for a few days in a cool spot out of the sun. After that pop them into some draining cactus / succulent soil, move it into bright indirect light and don’t water for a couple of weeks.
