Why could my traps not be opening

Are you taunting it? Shaking it too much? What type of water are you putting in it and how much is it in. (This is how my first one died)
You should feed it alive cut-up mealworms (if you want) but most of its nutrients come from the sun and some water.
You should spray it with distilled water. 💦 No tap water!! Chlorine can instantly kill it, that's what happens to my first one.
Make sure you aren't taking little flies and other creatures for them to fly around and taunt it. That can stress out the plant and make it die. If they don't get any nutrients from the bugs and critters you find or give, change it!
