Is my bamboo in the correct pot for her?
i bought a bamboo from the flea market.. the guy who sold it to me told me no direct light, itβs best inside and i can water it everyday(that it likes water). google said basically the same thing except i should change the water every two weeks. the greg app is telling me itβs not in the correct pot (itβs in a glass ceramic pot with no drainage)
2ft to light, indirect
3β pot without drainage
Last watered 2 weeks ago
@SinewyPyrethrum @CountryGirl unless your bamboo is in water, it needs to be in a pot with drainage holes. Since yours is in soil, watering it everyday will lead to root rot. That's because the wet soil will compact around the roots, cutting off their oxygen supply and suffocating them. If your bamboo is in just water, it should be changed out at least once a week to replenish the oxygen. The app has water as an option under soil type, but it will still tell you it's in the wrong type of pot since obviously a plant that's in water won't be in a container with drainage holes. You'll also continue to get watering reminders for plants in just water.
If you plan to keep your bamboo in soil, you'll need a pot with drainage holes. Proper drainage is essential for plant health. They not only help the soil dry out faster, but also allow excess fertilizer and mineral buildup to be flushed out every time you water.

@CountryGirl I also quarter turn it everyday so it stays green consistently
