How do I propagate a lead?

#PachyveriaLittleJewel

I just repotted this leggy little guy. Her old pot has no drainage hole, and was hard to deal with. She lost another leaf. I think I'm supposed to let the lead dry out and then put it on damp soil or spending. Can anyone advise? I'm pretty ignorant.
5ft to light, direct

You’ve got the right idea, with your setup, just don’t water until you start seeing growth / roots because it will rot it if you aren’t careful. If you have access to grow lights those work best for propagating. Here are some examples of my current props. They are fairly easy and do better when left alone, like most succulents. They just need lots of consistent light, once they start showing roots you can LIGHTLY water, don’t over do it. However once they start showing roots/growth be careful not to let them dry out too much because they will. I water mine about every two days, but like I said before sparing with the water. Hope this helps! Don’t remove the mother leaf until it dries out and shrivels, that’s when you will know it’s ready to be detached from the leaf if that makes sense (like photo one)
Thank you both! My window is indeed very, very sunny. Cross your fingers for me and my leaf/plant-to-be Harry.
I think you should put more soil. And I don't think you were supposed to let the leaf dry out.
(which you didn't)
