Should I stake/ moss pole to guide the new growth up inst...

First #DragonFruit and the new growth is going in an odd direction. Should I just let it get crazy or should I be guiding it up a stake or pole? #NewGrowth #PlantsMakePeopleHappy

They can get really big. But they grow kinda wildly. They will hang and grow however they feel like growing. Lol
Haha the plant really said β€œI’ need a chiropractor”. I think it should be fine If you leave it like that. Maybe rotate it so that it doesn’t keep growing sideways as much and force it to straighten out a like bit
A lot growers use a trellis for them to grow up and then hang down. Or they can just hang like this grower recommends. https://youtu.be/BMMfM3maMkE
This is one of the common methods. Problem is they get pretty big eventually
@SirLiquorice Option A is what my son is hoping for. I just told him I was thinking about giving Spyro a stake and he was like β€œNooooo!!!! I want him to go CRAZY!!” πŸ˜†πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈ So I guess that’s what we’re doing 🀣
This is so cool I haven’t gotten to see this post in so long. How is the plant doing?
20 month update! That top said β€œHold my beer” and grew 3 more sections in rapid succession! The top was getting really insane and I was a bit relieved when it snapped off in the spring. Welp, joke’s on me because he grew it right back in even more bizarre (twisty) ways. Here he is!!
