My moisture meter says it’s wet. I’ve only given water when told to. I will dry out but gosh it’s got so many black leaves!

@Sleepysunday thanks
Your plant card says that it’s near a/c. Does it get a draft? Usually, plants have a dormant cycle that may be triggered by temperature. When it goes dormant or begins to go dormant due to temperature change, it requires much much less water. I know you said your meter says wet. I would pull the plant from the pot and remove the soil. Rinse roots and trim off any that are mushy. Leave what is ok out on newspaper or paper towels to breathe. Toss the old dirt and sanitize the pot. Get fresh soil and add some orchid bark chips in it to help it stay airy and not hold a lot of water when you re-pot. Your plants need a good balance of water, light, and air to stay healthy. Soil should always have air pockets yo let both water and air through without do much friction on the roots. When you water, give it a sip and make sure it’s in the right lighting. I know Greg suggests watering however it is a learning app that will adjust if you snooze the waterings. Check the soil before watering. If it’s damp, there’s no need for water just yet. It’s ok to tell Greg that. If you feel compelled to water, give it a sip so that it doesn’t get overwatered. Your plant will continue to change its needs but this is a start. I hope it helps.
Ya not near the vent at all. I think over water and since it’s been hot I have been closing blinds to keep hot sun out (not run AC so much) and I think that lack of normal sun in the room has brought this to my baby. Okay I’m glad you said that I don’t have to follow greg. I think that’s why overwater. Appreciate your help!!!
