Propagation
So many questions!!!!!
1.Can I propagate this as is?
2.How long do I wait to dry out? Just broke off today. 3.Should I take Lower leaves off so they arenβt in water? My only prop station pictured also. Container is 5β tall
4. Should I add fertilizer to the water?
5. How often do you change the water?
Any other tips appreciated
TIA!!!

Hi! I loooove #waterpropagation - in my opinion you donβt necessarily need to wait for it to callous over. Though thatβs usually 12-24 hours depending on the plant.
Yes I would remove lower leaves.
Change the water at least once a week. If itβs under a grow light or somewhere it starts to get algae or bacteria, change it more often!
I had been using a suuuuper diluted liquid Indoor Plant fertilizer from Miracle Gro but thatβs just a basic option. There are better ones out there, plus rooting powder and etc.

I didnβt see the photo of your prop station but Iβm sure itβs fine!
The node (elbow joint) is where roots will grow, all nodes in water will probably start roots! So itβs up to you to trim yo the cutting the way you like. Does that make sense? In theory you might be able to get a few cuttings from this piece if you donβt mind them being ugly and choppy at first π
Good luck! This is always so fun! π±βοΈβ€οΈ

@RealSimpleMama itβs been three weeks, and I have zero growth.. is this normal? I have it in fresh water with liquid fertilizer and nothing. The air roots that were sticking out arenβt even growing. Help!
@ccgorplant hey letβs see if we can figure this out together. Can you upload some more photos? Including the container and where itβs located.
