How often do I need to water this plant?
Depends on the soil, the lighting and your location in the world at the moment. Succulents really only need watering when the leaves are not firm, but the soil also needs to he able to drain and dry quickly to avoid root rot. They are also full sun plants, so do best outside to avoid etiolation (lengthening of the stem and further spacing between leaves), but to also maintain their colour nicely
This looks like itβs a Pachyveria 'Glauca' otherwise known as βlittle jewelβ. It is very drought tolerant but pay attention to the wellness of the plant itself instead of keeping a strict watering schedule. Since it is in such a tiny pot it will dry out much quicker than if it was in a 3 inch diameter, so keep an eye on it and look into watering needs for little jewels
@WickedValkyrie it looks like a little jewel to me definitely not a jade
I agree with @jordansage. Itβs a Pachyveria Gauca, usually donβt water mine for 9-12 days, but with how small the pot is, it seems like youβll have the same watering schedule. From the looks of it, your baby looks like itβs doing good so far and doesnβt need watering yet. If Greg suggests watering, snooze it and come back to it when itβs thirsty!
The way you can tell if your plant is thirsty is if the leaves start to get wrinkly and slightly squishy. When this occurs, make sure to water until you see it coming out of the bottom drainage holes ππΏ
Welcome to Greg, by the way! @AproposBaibua π @WickedValkyrie
