What type of Echie do I have?

Hey everyone,

I’ve had this guy for several months now, and it’s been growing beautifully. I initially identified it as a Galaxy Blue Echeveria, but after seeing it grow and sprout offshoots, I’m starting to question that. I’m thinking it may not even be an Echie at this point β€” maybe a grapto of some sort?

I just chopped and propped this lengthy offshoot, too, and want to add it to my collection as its own plant, so I’m hoping to correctly ID them both.

What do you guys think?

@SucculentSavant I believe what you chopped was a flower stalk. It might be some sort of sedum hybrid. It is gorgeous. Hope you get a correct ID.
@SucculentSavant looking at it, it looks like it might be a ghost plant (graptopetalum).
@FairyFly it never crossed my mind that it might be a flower stalk, but would make a lot of sense! I was curious as to why it was so leggy. Never propagated something like that before, so it’ll be interesting to see what it grows into 🌿
@FairyFly the graptopetalum was my next best guess. It would also make sense if it’s a hybrid of some sort, because I can’t ID it for the life of me πŸ˜‚ thanks for the input!
To tell you the truth @SucculentSavant, you can propagate it, it will probably root very well, but it will most likely just produce more flowers. Please update us, that would be cool if it took off and started branching like an antler!
@FairyFly That’d be so cool. I was 50/50 between chopping it or not, but didn’t feel it had much more room to grow. I’ll be monitoring it closely and will definitely post updates! 😊
Love it! They look great
