I don’t think so but I’m not certain on it. Turning yellow means it’s ripe. Personally I’d eat it and plant the head to grow another one.
@shorti6770 thanks! This is an ornamental pineapple so I don’t think it’s edible. Or at least it would be very very bitter! If it’s sweet, it’s so small I think I’d maybe be able to make one cocktail with it!

@Hayleyb11 Look for pups around the plant. The bromilead should be throwing pups at the end of her lifecycle. Those are your next plants. Much easier than having to reroot the piΓ±a head. Let them stay attached to the mama plant as long as you can so they steal her energy and get bigger. Then eventually cut them free with a clean blade and repeat the cycle.
