It’s actually a much darker green plant but the lighting is weird. The color looks like it’s fading

Ooh, so that stippling on the leaves is making me think spider mites. Palms are very susceptible to them. Grab a paper towel and wipe down one of the leaves with it, then check the paper towel for reddish brown streaks. First thing I'd do is isolate it away from any other plants. Spray it down with water, then alternate treatment with insecticidal soap and Captain Jack's dead bug brew.
