@OpulentWorm A red pagoda plant in a 2" pot should be watered only when the soil is completely dry, which typically means every 2-3 weeks; it should be fine leaving it for 8 days 👍😁
@OpulentWorm Before I left I would check the soil to make sure that it wasn't completely dried out. Maybe give it a little bit of water if it was. Also if it's outside, bring it in and put it in a sunny window just so you have some control of the weather (rain, wind ect.) that might happen if it was left out on the elements.
