Crown rot repot?

I think my snake plant got crown rot, don’t know how because I bottom watered. Anyway, there were 2 pups growing so I chopped off the rotting mother. My question is: do I replant as is, or chop the pups from the mother stem?? And do I need to let it callous (and how long) before replanting? TIA! #Sansevieria #SnakePlant #SnakePlantSquad #help
20ft to light, indirect
4” pot with drainage
Last watered 2 weeks ago
These guys are incredibly resilient. This happened to me and I pulled out everything, cut the rotted parts off, let it callous over for a week or so, and repot in fresh chunky soil. (Terracotta preferably) Put it in bright indirect l and let it dry out between every waterings. Good luck!
@Azplantchic thank you! I’ll keep the mama root and let it callous for a week. Maybe I’ll find a grow light for that spot too.
+1 for chunky soil, but you may not be able to bottom water if the soil can’t wick much (a good thing). I’m still somewhat new to snake plants, but mine is doing pretty well and I top water mine with gritty soil.
