hi! is this an optimal spot for my bamboo? the window is ...

#LuckyBamboo
It looks pretty good! I have a bamboo that's not in much sun at all-- happy plant it is!
I'd say no that's a bit far from the window and idk what direction the window faces.

Bamboo thrive in full direct sunlight and really prefer 6 to 10 hrs of it a day.

What I'd do is get a nice goose neck lamp with 2 or 3 adjustable fixtures and position grow lights for full coverage .

Ur gunna want to hold a distance no greater than 16 inches from the targeted area for each fixture and a ppfd rate of at least 300-600.

I'm pretty partial to sansi lights . But get what ever you'd like as long as the ppfd rating on the bulb is good

A couple 40w bulbs would do a good job
@SleekMothorchid thank you!
@LittleSongbird my only problem is that his leaves keep turning yellow 😭 he’s gone thru my depression phases tho & he’s made it, so he’s very resilient. i just now wanna make sure he’s living his best life since he’s gone thru so much w me πŸ₯²
@siiablo Then yes, give it a bit more sun!! Only you really know how much sun it's getting in the day, and if it's not getting enough, move it closer to the window!
Room temperature water is also important. 1 to 3 times per week

A soil ph of 5.8 to 6.5
Humidity 40 to 75%
And a temp above 65Β°f

Maintaining proper soil temp and ph will help keep the bamboo happy .

And fertilizer high in nitrogen 1 to 2 times per year.
Hi, that looks like an okay place depending which direction the window faces. If using tap water let it sit out for a couple hours before watering so the chlorine dissipates. Sometimes lower leaves will yellow naturally as it grows. Wish you luck and good job getting out of your depression <3
