leafs falling

Hi, have a burro’s tail (really easy to take care of, I know) but some of the little petals or leafs are falling off. Why is that and how can I fix it?
Hi! It happens naturally, the leaves come off very easily, so try to not touch your plant too much! Also you can toss the leaves back into the pot or in a different one and they will grow just like that!
@AdeptMayten82 Thanks! :D
I notice that the soil looks a little dense, what soil did you use and how often do you water it?? That could be the underlying cause
@Slyvie I use regular soil and I water it every twelve days, sometimes more, sometimes less
Mine has been out in the rain and a lot of rain almost everyday. Well draining soil and circulation is the key! I brought her in the light. Clusters are leaves that have fallen and third pic you see leaves that just recently fell and started growing babies:)
@Boymom-plantmom thank you! I think I’ll change my soil, since it’s really easy to get it here:)
Your soil does look dense and dark, indicating too much water? Sometimes the leaves do fall off due to the fact that they are so delicate but as long as they aren’t in a super windy climate and aren’t touched often, it should be fine.
its not getting enough light. thats part of the problem. when the leaves are spaced out like that theyre really easy to knock off. when there isnt empty space between them (which is how they grow in adequate lighting) theyre pretty hard to knock off. leaf loss (without you touching the plant) is also just common with etiolation. that soil and pot combo is the rest of the problem, and itll likely eventually kill the plant. succulents are veryyy prone to rot. the soil should dry out all the way through within 3 days of watering. if it takes longer than that youre playing a risky game
@HotKanna92 I see, thanks, I’ll definitely change de soil as soon as possible and have it outside as long as it’s not raining so that it gets enough light:)
@Succulent_Soul yeah, I think it might be the soil, it’s regular soil, not well draining, I’ll also avoid touching it, thanks
@PureRedlog53 your welcome! Usually the grocery store has succulent soil which drains well or you can diy and use small pebbles with some perlite and pumice mixed with a little bit of regular soil. The finished product shouldn’t be able to clump into a ball if you squeeze it.
@PureRedlog53 Leaves should not fall off very easily!If you bump it off the table they definitely will but not from slightly touching it. Your soil looks organic. Burro’s tail succulents need gritty well draining soil. The kind you would find in deserts or nature trails. My burro’s tail used to drop leaves easily when I first ordered it bare root online but as they grow up they should become firm and plump. They should not drop leaves from slight touches.
