They crisp up when the humidity's too low or the soil dries out too long. Even if you're doing everything right, this plant wants like 60-70% humidity and soil that stays lightly moist, not bone dry for a week. Try bumping up humidity, water a bit sooner, and keep using filtered water. Hope this helps!
