@HardyRosemoss55 you arenβt doing anything wrong.
They do like humidity so if you put a drip tray under your pot and fill it with pebbles, then water, it should add enough humidity to help a bit. Just make sure the water doesnβt reach the bottom of your pot. (See picture as an example)
And it looks like this is an older leaf? The leaves that are smallest and on the outside will eventually die, just the plant cycle, not due to your ability to keep the plant.
Most of the leaves naturally tear, and theyβre supposed to (they let air through the leaves and allow sun down to the stem).
