Do you make tea? How?

#CommonSassafras
Last watered 1 year ago
@PrimaryRhodotus My gram used to make it using the bottom twigs and small branches down near the roots . First you have to peel the outer bark off then you boil in water letting it steep . It’s not good to consume to much it releases carcinogens . Good luck in the end if you like sassafras . You’ll be happy when enjoying its quite good compared to fake flavorings
@ILoveMyPlants what does authentic sassafras taste like? there's a few sassafras trees in my neighbourbood and i've been curious about doing a taste test ever since i found out they're edible.
@waspaganda It’s much stronger and pungent than artificial . Though it’s a acquired taste if you ever tried sassafras tea from a reputable company you know . Except yours would be fresh . Also it needs some sort of sweetener making it a real treat . Just not honey it would alter the flavor .
