Should I be worried?
So i just got This plant for mothers day and my husband said he already did our fungicide routine. Itβs making me nervous because it already is starting to have that yellow undertone when they start to get sick. Should i be worried?

Hi Nashua! It says you have it in a pot with no drainage? If so- it definitely needs to be in a pot with good drainage. The soil needs to have a good amount of perlite mixed in the soil- I do a 50/50 mix of cactus/succulent soil and perlite. When I get a new plant, I always repot to a new pot where I can inspect for pests, and changing the soil also helps do that as well. I give it a little water and then I watch it for the next 5-7 days. If I see and bugs I treat it then. My Swiss cheese is somewhat finicky- it hates being indoors lol. Itβs on my east facing back porch and is starting to grow like crazy. Make sure youβre not overwatering it as that will yellow the plant and cause root rot, and make sure itβs getting bright indirect light- no sun. I hope this helps!
@SillyPlantGirl thanks so much! We had the plant on my bedside desk at first, then moved it to my window. Ive only watered it once (learned overwatering the hard way π
). It has drainage βΊοΈ. Iβll have to change that from the settings. Iβll certainly check again for bugs! Me and my husband used to change the pots out when we first became plant parents and then we stopped but i didnt even thinking about that (with it being a good way to inspect for bugs!). And weβll hop to it with the soil mix! Awesome tips! Thank you so much!!
