Hi there. After looking at the picture of your plant it might possibly be in too big of a pot. It should only be an inch or two larger than the root ball. I would also venture to say you might want to check the roots and make sure they’re still healthy, move it away from the heater and maybe even make the soil chunkier for better drainage and air flow to the roots with some coco coir and perlite.
This definitely looks like an overwatered plant. Rubber plants are basically succulents, so the soil should completely dry out between waterings. Like @Jessa-Dawn mentioned, an 8" pot does sound too big for the plant in the photo. The general guideline for pot size is that it shouldn't be more than 2-3" bigger than the plant's root ball (or its previous pot). If you tend to overwater your plants, a terracotta pot might be a better option. Unlike plastic, they're porous, which allows the soil to dry out faster. Any standard cactus/succulent soil with some extra perlite mixed in works great for these guys. All of mine are in a mix that's approx 3 parts cactus soil, 1 part perlite.

Pull the plant out of the pot and inspect the roots. Healthy roots are firm and white, rotted roots are darker, mushy, and easily fall apart when handled. Any rotten roots will need to be removed before repotting.
@Jessa-Dawn I think maybe you meant coco chips, not coco coir..? Coir is very moisture retaining, while coco chips promote drainage and create air pockets in the soil ☺️
@Jessa-Dawn Thank You.Im going to change the pot.
@stephonicle Thank you.
@stephonicle yes! you’re absolutely right!
I just noticed your narrow leaf chalk sticks is actually a mother of millions plant (Kalanchoe delagoensis.) Greg sometimes has trouble discerning little differences. Welcome to the group . We have a lot of fun.
