Propogating Zebrina
When propogating zebrina from cuttings, should you cut it below the node, or above the node? Also in general does anyone have any tips for propogating a Tradescantia zebrina?

You would need to cut below the node in between two nodes. This way when die back happens where you have made the cut, it would not reach the nodes compromising the cutting and/or plant. For a cutting, make sure it’s at least 4-6 inches in length. And, take a cutting from a healthy stem—the stem should feel firm and have multiple established leaves. You would want to remove any lower leaves on the cutting as they are redundant, and only rot during the process. Keeping those leaves alive will have the cutting use energy to keep those leaves alive rather than direct energy towards root development. Each cutting should have at least a couple of leaves toward the top. You can choose to use a rooting hormone but is not necessary because tradescantias root easily. You may propagate your cutting in water or soil. Both methods work well, so it really just comes down to your preference. When propagating in water, make sure the bottom of the stem is well-submerged, paying close attention to the leaf node where roots will develop. The same applies when putting your cutting in soil, ensuring the cutting is planted about an inch into the potting mix. When propagating in water and you see new roots about one to two inches long, you can transplant the cutting into a pot filled with fresh soil mix. Then, provide your cutting with good light, and place it in a warm spot. Change the water periodically if propagating in water—at least once a week—in order to keep the cutting fresh and water clean. Likewise for soil propagation, make sure to top up moisture levels but don't overwater it so that it becomes soggy. Once your cutting has developed a root system and you've planted it in a new pot, continue providing optimal care and it will thrive happily. I hope this helps, and good luck!
When propagating Tradescantia zebrina from cuttings, you should cut just below a node, as this is where new roots will form. After cutting, remove any lower leaves near the node, then place the cutting in water or directly into soil to encourage root development. Ensure the cutting has adequate light and moisture for optimal growth.
