need advice on asparagus fern (again)

Adore this plant but it give me lots of trouble. I mist regularly and have it close but not in direct sunlight. Sometimes put it in the bathroom during a shower to get some extra humidity. Bottom watered like it like I normally do and overnight it’s turned pale/yellow - any advice? #AsparagusFern #help
4” pot with drainage
Last watered 2 weeks ago
Are you using tap water? The. Chemicals in tap water like Chloramine, can accumulate in the soil and cause leaves to turn brown. It doesn’t evaporate in the air like Chlorine does. Consider using a plant water conditioner like Stress Coat to remove harmful chemicals in its water. Stress Coat can be purchased on Amazon.
β˜€οΈ Insufficient Light: The direct sunlight may burn the leaves. But too little light can also cause yellow leaves. They can tolerate the gentle direct light from east facing window. Consider getting it a LED full spectrum grow light (either a lamp or light bulb). During wintertime our plants gets less and less sunlight.
πŸ’¦ Insufficient watering: The frequency of watering decrease in the wintertime, simply because plants are getting less sunlight. Allow the top inch of the soil to dry between waterings.
πŸ™I hope your Asparagus Fern will make a speedy recovery.
It actually looks OK to me. My husband will comment that he thinks mine is dying but it is just because the new leaves will be lighter than the old ones. I do nothing special to mine. It sits in my bathroom in indirect light all the time and I use regular tap water.
Ty! I do use tap water so I’ll investigate your suggestions. And moving it to a south east window
It looks great to me πŸ‘
