Congrats on your new baby! Not sure about the worm castings but I presume you would use them in place of compost. Just make sure your mix still has lots of aeration eg with perlite. To prevent spider mites, check and clean your leaves often (with water). Some people swear by using products like We The Wild Protect spray (which contains a tiny amount of neem oil). There are predator mites you can use as well in smaller quantities than for curing infestations (you can buy these online - usually persimilis and californicus species). Hope that helps :) 🌿🌿
