I’m trying to see how much water you have on the crown. Can you take a side photo. Are those skewers through the crown? If so, you damaged the crown and she won’t root. Lettuce only needs about 1-2” of water on the crown. Even though your Lola is producing leaves, they may not taste good. Lettuce will grow in colder environments, with little water on the crown. If damage occurs to the crown, she won’t get roots. I forgot to add, lettuce is only good in water for 2 weeks. Hope that information helps you:)
I added fertilizer to the water this morning, I promise it's not dirty water πŸ˜‚
It's odd, because I've done this before, years ago and had zero problems with using toothpicks to hold it up
