yellowing leaves? Help!
1ft to light, indirect
4β pot with drainage
Last watered 3 days ago
Hello, is it the oldest leaf [the smallest]? If so it's natural leaf cycle and the plant will push a new leaf soon.
How dry is the soil when you water? Ideally 40-50% of the soil should be dry from the top. Measure using your fingers. If you're blindly watering, the leaf might feel mushy, and if you check the roots they may be brown and mushyβrotted. If this is the case, repot and use fresh soil, removing all rotten roots.
Also, to me the shape and colour is off for Alocasia baginda 'Dragon Scale'. Are the leaves rough like sandpaper? I think it's Alocasia melo

@LilRootedWitch thank you! It has good drainage, when I water it I take the plastic insert out to water and then put it back in its pot once done. I just go by the notifications on this app and usually the soil is fairly dry on top when itβs time. Itβs in a bright bathroom, but no direct sun.
@Araceae thank you!! I went ahead and corrected it to the right alocasia. Thanks for catching that! And yes it does seem to be one of the older leaves, that could be it. The soil does get pretty dry before watering, so that part should be okay!! Iβm wondering if maybe itβs also not enough sunlight, itβs a bright room, indirect light, but definitely not the brightest of rooms.
@StoutGoldwire if you like you could move it to the brightest room, out of direct light, but being an Alocasia it might throw a tantrum for a while
