Lifesaver plant turning yellow

Hi all! Any insight on what’s going on with my lifesaver plant?

I notice it’s turning yellow 😒

I changed the soil thinking it may have been staying wet too long. It gets a lot of light under a grow light

4ft to light, indirect

Im pretty sure it is suffering from overwatering. If it is not in direct sun but is getting alot of light, i dont think that is your issue. Poor lighting has been known to cause brown and yellow spots on these babies. When in dormanc, it should only be watered every 4 to 6 weeks. This plant prefers soil on the acidic side, and it should be very well draining. A good cactus or succulent mix with a little extra perlite and/or course sand will work best. The pot should be terra cotta to assist with evaporation. Glazed pots hold moisture in. Only water when the soil is dry. Water slowly until a trickle is seen at drain hole. Allow to completely drain. It might be a good idea to get a meter to help you assist you with checking moisture levels. This plant really doesn't do well on a regular schedule. It does best on self demand watering. I would not water it again for at least 3 to 4 weeks. It is in dormancy still. Growing season starts in late April usually. You can fertize monthy during growing season may through August if you want at half recommended dose. If you are going to put it outside in the summer, make sure it is shaded and watch that moisture level with temperature changes. I hope this helped you some. It is such a pretty plant. Oh I would also remove the yellowed leaves. They will not recover and are taking energy from the plant. Cut with a very sharp knife and sprinkle a little cinnamon on the open wound to help prevent infection. Good luck @AshleyK
@Stall54Jo thank you! I haven’t watered it much as it took a while for the soil to dry. It was soaked when I got it. I replaced the soil and want to get a terracotta pot for it! Thanks!
