Could you help me with my Daisy? π₯Ί
#NewPlantMom I have a Daisy since the beginning of March. Where I live is very dry and on top of that she doesnt get enough sun because my house faces north so I try to put a lamp for her whenever I can. But after being healthy and looking fabulous, despite the environment condition she was in, I couldn't tend to her for a few days in april and suddenly she had a spiders mite infestation ππ
I read a bout it online and I removed them with water. I also cut some of the most infested parts. Then, after two weeks of making sure there were no more mite spiders finally she is looking a bit better, but she is looking like this ππ
I give her a 1/4 cup of water almost every day (at least 5days a week) am I killing my plant? What can I do to help her?

1ft to light, indirect
5β pot with drainage
Last watered 1 year ago
Iβm a newby too so all that stands out to me is she looks dried out but with the amount of water you are givingg her, that doesnβt make sense. Could the infestation of spider mites do more damage than originally seen. I was always told to use a Qtip dipped in alcohol to remove them but maybe yours was worse than Iβm imagining. I also believe it has nothing to do with your neglecting her. The spider mites were just not apparent till it became a full on infestation so donβt let thinking a few days in April give you false guilt. And donβt give up on her. Hopefully someone in our community will be able to give you some sound advice.ππ»
Watering everyday is far too often. It doesn't give the soil an opportunity to properly dry out, and when roots sit in soil that's constantly wet they can rot. Let the soil dry out almost all the way, then water thoroughly till it pours out drainage holes, then let it dry out again.
Flowers are pretty but temporary for any plant. Once your daisy blooms, the flowers will only last a few weeks at the most. You can try to get her to re-bloom by removing any spent flowers as soon as they start to fade. Also, they prefer bright but indirect light, so the north facing window was fine. Too much direct sun can scorch them and cause the flowers to wilt. What type of grow light did you have on her, and how close was it?

Hi @stephonicle Thanks for the guidance.I've noticed that if I don't give her water every day she looks very weak and a few hours after giving her water she looks okay again. That's why I keep giving her a 1/4 every day. Also because our home is very dry I guess that if I don't keep her moistured the spider mites could come back.
Also, it is not a grow light, it's just a regular small LED desk lamp. I put it on her during the afternoon and on sunny days (once every week) I take her to our rooftop to get some direct daylight for 30mins to 2 hours (depending on my schedule). The day after I take her out she looks at her best but when she's at home she looks so sad π
Note: since she got sick I haven't taken her out to the rooftop.
