Any way to help fix this discoloration?

For some context, this didn’t just appear, it has been like this since I planted it. I wasn’t really sure if there’s a way to help it get greener like the rest of the plant, or if it’ll just always be like that. #HappyPlants #smoothpricklypear #CactuClique #Cactus

@LethargicTom is the are still firm? Id check for underline issues. Look healthy! Very lovely I’d examine to be sure there’s no fungus. If it’s healthy maybe a little more sun to the area other thank that it’s unique. #CactusClique can help more. Hope that helps!πŸͺ΄
@LethargicTom that looks like where the original dirt line was or it's corking, which is a natural response to things like age or environment. It looks good overall. I would advise against getting the cactus wet in the future, could promote rot if not dried in a timely manner.
@FairyFly Thank you for your input! And I had watered my plants today, so that’s why he’s wet lol
