Could just be some transplant shock. Also if it wasn't getting as much direct sunlight before and then all of a sudden it's getting a lot, that can cause some leaf burning since it wasn't gradually acclimated to full sun. Newly planted lilac also needs their soil to be kept relatively moist until they've adjusted and become well established.
