What exactly is Cat Grass?

What’s up guys I recently got this from my local grocery store because I thought it’d be nice to bring a little bit ot outside in for my cats! They literally didn’t care at all about them so I’m choosing to sinply grow it. But what exactly is this ? The card that came with it says it’s a grass mix but I just thought I’d ask the community to be sure ! Also it grows crazy! I love watching it shoot up!

When I read up on it in the past for my kitties, I came to understand it was gentler on their stomach's than the type grass used for lawns - so ideally less likely to find gross puddles of it around your home later 😸

P.S. if your cats don't like it, you could try companion potting it with cat-friendly herbs to give them something new to explore.

This is your answer. Young oats, barley and wheat plants.

They're supposed to be entertainment for your cats, and a plant that they nibble on instead of your precious Calatheas and Monsteras. But if they're not interested you can't force them. There is a plant that cats seem to go nuts over, find something called Catnip

@MoseyPlants oh they're just seedlings. Wheat is definitely not that short
