Not sprouting :(
Hi! So almost two weeks ago I put some lavender seeds in one pot and some daisy seeds in another. The packet they came in said to water everyday and put in direct sunlight, and there should begin to be sprouts in a week.
Well itβs almost been two weeks and thereβs literally nothing put dirt in a potβ¦ am I just being immatiant or is there something Iβm forgetting? Kinda new to this whole plant thing and would love some help. #HappyPlants floweringPlants">#floweringPlants #NewPlantMom #advice

Sometimes, with seeds, they benefit from a little DIY greenhouse. Most seed growing containers have lids to create a consistently moist warm environment, which promotes germination.
All youβll need is new seeds, seed starting soil, and ziploc bag big enough for dinosaur ( too cute!).
1. Empty dino, and wash him thoroughly to clean the prior dirt out. Dry completely.
2. Fill dino up with seed starting soil.
3. Add seeds per package directions.
4. Spray the top of the soil, so its wet (not soggy)
5. Put dino in the ziploc bag. Seal it with air in it, so there's about 2β for the baby stem to grow. Open it every couple of days to allow for air circulation to prevent mold.
6. Put it in a plac that receives indirect light, to keep from overheating (in direct sun).
By the next day, there should be condensation and tiny water drops, creating the greenhouse. You don't have to do anything, until you see a second set of leaves ( called βtrue leavesβ), growing. Once you see those, you can remove dinofrom the bag, and care for the babies per package directions.
In my experience, the seed packet provides very general directions for germination, because the packets could be sold in any climate, all over the world.

@SapientWoreya37 decent drainage I guess?
@Yellowconverse sometimes it can take up to three weeks to see growth so I would just give it a week bc it seems like youβre following directions and the conditions you have listed seem good!
