Yes, pruning is essential to help stimulate growth. Wherever you make cuts, two new stems will emerge. You can propagate the cuttings either in a separate pot or back into the same pot with the parent plant. Raindrop peperomia can even be propagated from just a leaf! I do agree with @WingedDionysos that it might be time for a slightly bigger pot. Just make sure it's not more than 2-3 inches bigger than the current pot, otherwise you could end up overwatering.
