I need help my plant is dying I'm new to this I don't kno...
I use vinegar and baking soda mixed with a little bit of dawn soap on ants I’m not sure if it works on worms. Diatomaceous earth might work too. @SillyPlantGirl @stephongreg they can probably give you better answers. Good luck!
Hi Gabriela, they look like tiny millipedes or centipedes that thrive in moist soil. They’re generally considered beneficial to plants as they help aerate the soil and eat decaying organic matter. If you find them unsightly, reducing watering frequency to let the soil dry out can naturally decrease their population. Now, if you just want to get rid of them altogether- you can. Tell me what kind of plant it is so I can help you repot if that’s what you’d rather do. Please send a photo of the plant too 😊
@Succulent_Soul do your plants do ok with that mixture? I’m just wondering because I was told to never use that as it burns the roots. Food grade DE is great for ants. A watered down mix of hydrogen peroxide 3% and water (1 part peroxide to 4 parts water) and when you water your plant with this solution - it kills larvae on contact and breaks down safely into water and oxygen, which actually benefits the roots. Just a thought for you 😊
We have horrible fire ants here. I planted Asiatic Lilies in half whiskey barrels, and one day watering- one of the entire plants were covered in a huge mound of them. Before I knew what my husband was doing- he mixed peroxide and baking soda and poured it into the planter. I was able to save one, but I lost one and the 3rd doesn’t look like it’ll make it. ☹️🥲
