White Stuff???

Hello fellow plant lovers! I was wondering if any of you know what wrong with my catnip plant? I recently bought it & repotted it, but now there is white stuff on a bunch of the leaves. This is my first catnip plant, so I’m not sure if this is normal?? I tried wiping it off but it didn’t work. I have never had this happen to any of my other plants so I have no idea what it is or how to treat it if it’s something bad. Absolutely any suggestions would be much appreciated!! - PlantLuvRgrl

Hi @PlantLuvRgrl quite possibly a pest. Check the underside of the leaves for any pests, especially very fine webbing of spider mites (very tiny difficult to see without magnifying glass πŸ” or strong readers πŸ‘“) or yellow or black tiny thrips bugs. The look of spots on the leaves make me suspect thrips. It’s most likely not powdery mildew because you said it doesn’t wipe off. If you’re growing this for your cat definitely don’t treat it with pesticides. If you do find pests & this is for your cat, then I’d dispose of it and try again with a fresh plant.
