How long do I wait until I give my Peruvian Apple cactus ...

Hi there! Just giving my personal experience & opinion, I would wait about a week before you first water it & make sure it isn’t a lot to prevent rotting it cause it doesn’t have roots yet. I had 3 cacti cuttings & 2 started to root in less then 2 weeks, the other hasn’t rooted yet still & it’s been about a month so each plant is different! If you start to see it wrinkle or shrivel that is natural, the plant is working on its roots & once developed it’ll be easy to plump it back up. So I’d put in a bright location, water once a week lightly(just enough so the plant will push roots to look for water), & every so often(in about 2 weeks) give it a slight tug to see if it is loose, if it feels sturdy & not coming out when you tug then that means it’s rooting 😁 good luck, it’s adorable!
Thank you
