First, BREATHE! π§πΏββοΈYou've got this!
Here are some good tips I've learned and incorporated from Greg:
In the words of @sarah10orio , if you have plants, you'll probably have pests at some point. But you can be proactive and hopefully minimize the effects.
Setup a quarantine area for new plants. If you're limited on space, this can be a cart/shelf to keep new plants separate from your other plants for about a month. In case the new plant has pests, this will help contain it so the pests hopefully won't wander to your other plants.

BEFORE they even make it to my quarantine area,
ππΏββοΈπͺ΄:
1. Wash leaves off (will generally submerge leaves to drown any pests). I use Castile Peppermint soap as peppermint is a natural deterrent to pests.
2. Inspect thoroughly and wipe down leaves with rubbing alcohol (no more than 70%)
3. Spray down with Natria/Organic Houseplants Insect Killer
I keep my plants in quarantine for AT LEAST a month, but generally longer.
I regularly spray down all plants with Natria.
Every few weeks or so during waterings, I like to inspect plants closely. I'm a helicopter plant mom so this involves a magnifying glass to check anything moving.

I NEVER wait more than a week to check out roots. Unfortunately, most plants bought are drowning in soil and need to be put it in a smaller pot or let root in perlite.
Why I don't recommend waiting to inspect roots:
1. Most sellers won't accept refunds or returns if you don't bring the issue immediately to their attention. If I buy a 6" and they send me 4" roots or smaller, they MUST give me a price adjustment and if they won't, I'll return. I don't play with my money and expect to receive what I paid for. If I buy a 4" and the roots are recent cuttings and less than 3", same as above applies.
2. It's important view root health. If there is root rot, I want to know asap to help my plant rather than trying to figure out why it's declining or not growing well.
3. I generally only like my soil mix as most of my plants are aroids, so I like my crack aroid chunky mix π€£.

Combating current pests:
Step 1:
BREATHE! π§πΏββοΈYou've got this!
"If you have plants, you'll have pests at some point."

Baptize your plants π€£
Seriously, if you can submerge your plant in water so those buggers drown.
If you can't submerge, wash off leaves with warm soapy water using a soap like Dr. Bronners. My fav is the peppermint which is a natural repellent for some crawlers.
Then wipe down leaves and stems with rubbing alcohol (no more than 70%). Make sure you wipe down the underside of the leaves as well.
Spray with your choice of spray, also spraying the underside of leaves and the soil. Drench the plants in the spray till it's running off. May want to do this in a bathroom for less mess.
β‘οΈ I use Natria as it's gentle to use often.
**If you use Neem oil, make sure you don't let light on the plant until it is completely dried, otherwise you'll damage leaves.
Keep these plants quarantined until you're sure you've ridded them of crawlers.
Repeat spraying as needed. If using neem, spray weekly; if using Natria, you can use more often.

Iβd ask @Popcornjoness they have some beautiful monsteras!
You've got bugs @GodlyVelvetweed
Take to shower and hose it down. Make sure you hose down underside of leaves too. If you have a shower head, put on blast mode and spray the leaves down.
I like wiping off plants with rubbing alcohol, no more than 70%.
After leaves are dried out if sun, spray plant thoroughly with pest spray. My favorite (blue bottle) is for active pests and Natria for maintenance.
Keep isolated with it's own light for a month at least, respraying and checking every few days. Check your other plants as well.
Will include long pest post FYI.
