Why’s he jellybeaning all over?

Got this lil guy at a local farmer’s market and he’s always been a bit chaotic. At first I thought he was growing towards the sun but that doesn’t seem to be it, he’s just a little wild and crazy. How do I contain this free spirit and help him grow better? His stems seem a little flimsy too. 🫤 Can I cut him down to let him grow sturdier?

Edited to add a pic of Snozzberry!

Hello Melissa! I don’t see any photo of plant attached, but I would love to see the little guy:)
@Drebsky that does help, yeah? 🙈
@Showigrow haha, yes now I can see who I’m talking about!

I am relatively new to plants, however it does indeed look like he is stretching for more light! I would move him to your brightest window and let him get some direct sun. The new growth should come in way more compact than he is now. I don’t believe the stems will thicken much.

I believe this is a jade plant?! And they tend to branch really well after trimmings, you can even root the cuttings!
@Drebsky thank yooou! I just moved him out onto my front porch this week. If there’s not enough sun there he’ll get to pack his little bags and move to another spot. I thiiiink he’s supposed to be a jelly bean succulent, but I got him from someone’s trunk sooo
@Showigrow of course! And you’re right, I think he is a jelly bean.

Hoping for great growth! Best of luck :)
