@MaturePlumtree unfortunately it looks like you may have crown rot happening. Itβs a result of too much water π¦ and watering from the top. Itβs difficult for the plant to recover from crown rot but not impossible if caught soon. Does the plant smell bad at all? Also it depends on what kind of bugs you are seeing. What do they look like? To help your fern recover from crown rot stop watering and let it dry out some. Remove leaves that get brown or black and droopy. You may want to inspect the roots for any blackened roots and remove them. I had one on the verge of crown rot and by holding back on water, cleaning off the roots and repotting in fresh dry soil and using a moisture meter before π¦ it came back around. Ferns like moisture but a sure fire way to kill them is overwatering.
